A good ordinary life
"Nice ordinary people, human beings" those were the words of an 88 year old in Palliative care telling her life story to my friend Anna so she could write it on her behalf. Anna is a volunteer for the St Vincent's Hospital Biography Service. A service that offers free of charge, volunteers to assist those who want to leave a memory of their lives behind. The process of healing
In 2011 I spent time on Sacred Land near Kata Tjuta (Northern Territory) with First Nation's ladies. We were living on the land, sleeping in swags, no bathroom facilities just a little shovel, and nothing in sight. There were around 40 ladies coming from multicultural Australia and from overseas, we were meeting with about 20 aborigines, learning from them Sacred Dance Ceremonies and in exchange they would receive what we had to offer, food, massages, energy healing and of co
